As one of the fastest growing Counties in the state, it is no secret that Carver County is a great place to live, work, and play. Located just southwest of the Twin Cities, Carver County offers the ideal combination of a picturesque natural setting and attractive professional opportunities.

Carver County is a great place to live…….. Carver County communities have received a number of awards and accolades highlighting their first-class livability – superior environments in which to raise a family, live the sporting single life, or enjoy retirement. As of 2015, an estimated 98,741 people call Carver County home. The County offers a blend of fast pace suburban communities and pleasant rural towns. Our communities offer respected and growing schools, reputable medical facilities, and high-tech libraries. Since 2013, the County has been ranked the healthiest county in Minnesota.

Carver County is a great place to work……..Many employers both large and small call Carver County home. The County has a diverse industrial base with a strong concentration of advanced manufacturing. The County was recently awarded the Minnesota Association of Professional County Economic Developers Outstanding Economic Development Effort Award for the Chaska Data Center development program. Highway 212 – a four-lane freeway from Carver to Minneapolis – provides a critical transportation link between the metro area and points west.

Carver County is a great place to play…….Carver County is home to an array of outstanding recreational resources, including renowned golf courses, beautiful lakes, and many miles of hiking and biking trails through breathtaking parks. Bordered on the south by the wildlife-rich Minnesota River Valley, the County is home to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chanhassen Dinner Theaters, the Taste of Minnesota food and music festival, Lake Waconia – the second largest lake in the Twin Cities – and a treasure trove of gorgeous smaller lakes, rivers, creeks, and hills. Carver County hosted the Ryder Cup – one of the largest sporting events in the world – in September 2016. The event featured team matches between the USA and Europe’s top golfers. It drew more than 250,000 people to Hazeltine National Golf Course in Chaska, which previously hosted the 2009 PGA Championship and the 1991 U.S. Open.
