A hazardous waste is a waste that is dangerous or potentially harmful to our health or the environment. Hazardous wastes can be liquids, solids, gases, or sludges and can be found in a range of products from common household cleaning supplies to discarded commercial products, like pesticides, or the by-products of manufacturing processes.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Open a cupboard in your kitchen, basement or garage, and read a few product labels. If they contain the words caution, warning, danger or poison, they may contain materials that are hazardous to you, to your family and to our environment if not used up or disposed of properly. Look inside to see how to properly dispose of HHW in Carver County!

Industrial Hazardous Waste

All hazardous waste generators must comply with basic management requirements that provide for the safe handling and proper disposal of all hazardous waste. In Carver County, Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG), who produce small amounts of waste, can participate in the County's VSQG program.
