The Douglas Kugler Eco-SIte, which serves as a year-round recycling and special waste collection facility in the city of Watertown, will close for good on December 30, 2017.  Residents are encouraged to bring recyclables and problem materials to the Carver County Environmental Center or one of the three County operated Rural Recycling Drop-Off Sites.

From West on Co Rd 122:
Take a left on Commercial Lane and then a left on Industrial Blvd.  The Eco-Site will be on your left.  Enter the East driveway.

From Highway 25:
Take Co Rd 122 and then the first right on Commercial Lane.  Take a left on Industrial Blvd.  The Eco-Site will be on your left.  Enter the East driveway.

Hours of Operation

Mondays:  9am - 3pm
Tuesdays:  9am - 3pm
Wednesdays:  9am - 3pm
Thursdays:  9am - 3pm
Fridays:  9am - 3pm
Saturdays:  9am - 1pm

The Eco-Site will be CLOSED on the following dates in 2017:  Mon. 1/1, Fri. 4/7, Fri. 5/26, Sat. 5/27, Mon. 5/29, Sat. 7/1, Mon. 7/3, Tues. 7/4, Sat. 9/2, Mon. 9/4, Fri. 10/6, Thur. 11/23, Fri. 11/24, Sat. 11/25, Sat. 11/23, Mon. 12/25, Tues. 12/26

Items accepted at NO CHARGE

  • Batteries (automotive & all household)
  • Cartridges (inkjet & printer)
  • Clothing, Shoes, & Usable Goods (clean, good condition)
  • Cooking Oil (vegetable, peanut, canola, olive, soybean, corn, & sunflower)
  • Holiday Lights
  • Plastic Bags & Shrink Wrap (must be clean and dry)
  • General Recyclables (newspaper, mail, office paper, magazines, cardboard, boxboard, steel & aluminum cans, glass bottles & jars, plastic food & beverage containers #1-7, milk cartons & juice boxes)
  • Residential Electronics (CPUs & Laptops)
  • Residential Fluorescent Bulbs (maximum of 25 bulbs)
  • Scrap Metal (all non metal material must be removed)
  • Styrofoam/Packaging Peanuts (must be clean and dry)
  • Used Motor Oil, Filters & Antifreeze (5 gal containers or smaller)
