Effective immediately, The Carver County Environmental Center and recycling sites in Cologne, Mayer and Norwood Young America will be closed. This is in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are encouraging residents to stay home and safely store their materials until we are able to open again.

The Environmental Services department is responsible for developing and implementing programs to satisfy state statutes and protect the County’s natural environment in 3 main areas: solid waste (includes waste prevention, garbage, recycling, composting and hazardous waste), feedlots, and septic systems.
