The State Exam Station, located at 418 Pine Street in Chaska, is a shared facility with the Chaska License Center operated by the County. The driver's license written tests and road tests offered at the Exam Station are administered by the State of Minnesota. Written exams: 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Monday - Friday
Road tests: It is recommended you schedule an appointment in one of three ways:

Visit Driver and Vehicle Services: Online appointments can be booked within the next 60 days.
In Person: Visit the Exam Station to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are available, but there is no guarantee there will be an opening.
Limited License: Obtaining a Limited License (Work Permit) may require that you pay fees and take the appropriate tests, complete an application for a new license and speak to an evaluator. There is not an evaluator at the Chaska location. There are evaluators in Plymouth, Eagan, Arden Hills and the Midtown exam stations.
