Standby tickets are issued 90 minutes prior to close.  In addition to standby tickets, no tickets will be issued 15 minutes prior to close.  

Those with standby tickets will be served same-day if their number is called prior to office close.

Driver's License Exams: This is a shared facility with the State Exam Station. Visit the Chaska facility for driver's license written tests  and road tests, to pay a reinstatement fee, or to apply for a new Minnesota State Identification (ID) Card.

  • State exam testing station hours are: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Written exam hours are: 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Road Tests are available by appointment.

New Insurance Requirement: Effective January 1, 2016, insurance information must be provided at the time of registration renewal, title transfer or application for new Minnesota title/registration.

There is an ATM available for customer use. The Chaska License Center does not accept credit or debit cards.
