Workforce Services staff offer workshops on the following:

  • Interviewing
    Learn valuable interviewing information, guidelines, do's and don'ts.
  • Job Seekers over 50
    Job Seekers will review many effective strategies to present their age, experience and future opportunities in a positive light.
  • Career Exploration
    Learn about your skills, interests and personality through taking a variety of assessments to assist you in exploring various careers.  When completed, get yourself on track with a goal setting activity to increase your chances at success!
  • Beginning Resumes
    Learn the basics of resume writing. Create a chronological resume or update an existing resume.
  • Advanced Resumes
    Make your resume stand out from the crowd and become noticed by using common and recognizable languages/formats for computer scanning.
  • LinkedIn for BEGINNERS  
  • Only 25% of jobs are actually advertised online. Join the growing field of social networking as we explore the basics of LinkedIn.
  • Salary Negotiations      
  • Learn about the tools you need when discussing compensation.  Learn when and how to ask.  Whether you're beginning a job or seeking a raise, this class will help you with tips and tricks when discussing salary.
  • Networking / Branding    
  • A two-part workshop that will teach you to market yourself and find employment through networking.  It covers what networking is and how you do it.  Branding is marketing yourself, figuring out who you are and what attributes you can bring to a new employer.
