First Street Center is licensed under Minnesota Rules 29 and 79 to meet State and Federal criteria for providing quality mental health services. Services include crisis mental health services, mental health and chemical health assessments, outpatient therapy and psychiatry, case management services, and resource referral. Services are provided to individuals of all ages to address situational or short-term emotional problems or more chronic or long-term mental health and/or chemical health problems.

Confidentiality: Confidentiality of information and records is maintained. Information is released only with a client's informed consent and written permission, or as allowed or required by law. 

Financial Information: Minnesota state law mandates that group insurance policies provide coverage for outpatient mental health services. Check your individual insurance policy for details on coverage. If you are currently uninsured, staff can help you apply for health care coverage. Services may be offered on a sliding fee scale for those who qualify. Staff can answer questions about insurance and financial arrangements when you call to make an appointment.

Two Locations: The majority of services are provided at First Street Center's main office at 540 East 1st Street in Waconia.  A satellite office is located in Chaska at 106 N Chestnut Street, Chaska.
