The Carver County Mental Health Advisory Council is comprised of mental health consumers, family members of consumers, and providers. We work toward improving the needs of those who are experiencing mental illness by educating ourselves on what the needs – both met and unmet – are in Carver County. We then report to the Board of Commissioners regarding our findings and make recommendations on what mental health needs require attention. Currently, we have twelve members on the Council.
Meetings: We meet the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the First Street Center in Waconia. Meetings are open to the public and we encourage people with interests in mental health needs and services to attend.

Carver County Mental Health Advisory Council Mission Statement
Our mission is to advise the Carver County commissioners regarding mental health policies, programs, and needs. We continually review and evaluate existing services, and listen to mental health consumers, providers, and organizations in order to determine unmet needs within the county.
