Behavioral Health provides a range of services and support for individuals who are experiencing mental illness, chemical dependency, emotional/behavior disorders or difficulty adjusting to life changes, and it provides services for their family members. The majority of services are provided at the First Street Center located at 540 East 1st Street, Waconia. Outpatient treatment, with the exception of psychiatry, which is also available at 106 N Chestnut Street, Chaska.
Mobile crisis services are offered 24/7 by the Carver-Scott Mental Health Crisis Program for residents in both counties at locations throughout the two counties. Child and adolescent services include School Linked Mental Health and Anicca Day Treatment.
The department also oversees jail mental health services and the Offender Reentry Program. The staff supports homeless prevention and housing and support services for adult mental health clients and community involvement in mental health issues. They promote understanding of mental health and mental illness and offer resources and information on support groups.
