This area of the Employee Relations Division provides planning, direction, administration, and coordination of the County’s risk management program.  Risk Management consists of loss prevention, loss control, loss avoidance, and risk transfer.  The County’s property casualty, general liability, automobile and workers’ compensation insurance program are represented within this area.  Risk Management works with overall risk issues involving the organization.  Examples of these areas include: Administration of the workers’ compensation program; administration, coordination and adjustment of property casualty, general liability, and automobile claims brought against Carver County; conducting ergonomic assessments; incident report management and mapping, perform contract reviews in conjunction with the County Attorney’s office; education and training for staff in the areas of risk management issues, safety and policies and procedures
