The Dive Team is composed of several agencies that respond to the lakes and rivers in Carver County.

The dive team is prepared to respond quickly and safely to a variety of life threatening and recovery incidents. The dive team meets twice a month to review equipment, procedures, techniques, and will train with other agencies.
The average diver has over 10 years of experience.
If you are interested in joining the Carver County Sheriff's Office Dive Team, please complete a Carver County application to be considered. Mail to: Lieutenant of Support Services, 606 East Fourth Street, Chaska, MN 55318-2102.
If the applicant meets the minimum requirements (listed below), the applicant will be contacted for an interview. Upon successful completion of the interview, the applicant will be given a background packet to complete and return to the Sheriff's Office. With successful completion of the background, the applicant will be asked to schedule a health assessment exam with the county's selected medical provider. There may be additional medical requirement with this volunteer position. With successful passing of the exam, the applicant will receive notification of the acceptance to the dive team. - 18 years of age
- A valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Certification for Open Water Dive
- Successful completion of background and health assessment
- Ability to volunteer their time to the dive team
