Licensed deputies and volunteers are utilized to enforce the laws and ordinances of the snowmobile trails. Any person born after December 31, 1976 is required to possess a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile in the state of Minnesota. To obtain a safety certificate, an operator must complete a snowmobile safety training course.  For a list of currently scheduled classes around the state, check the DNR Website.

Carver County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a riding performance course:

March 19th, 2016 @ 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Carver County Public Works, 11360 Hwy 212, Cologne, MN.
