Flood updates spring 2019

 Road Closures/Openings

  • Wednesday, May 8, 1:30 p.m.: 82nd Street and Union Avenue in Camden Township is open.
  • Wednesday, May 8, 11 a.m.: Highway 11/Jonathan Carver Parkway (Carver County) and Highway 9 (Scott County) near Jordan is open. Travel from Highway 50 going south on Highway 11 to Jordan is now open.
  • Monday, April 29, 9:30a.m.: Highway 123 between Watertown and Mayer and north of Highway 7, is now open.  
  • Tuesday, April 23, 10 a.m.: In Camden Township, Yancy Avenue is now open south of Highway 30 .
  • Friday, April 19, 9 a.m.: In Camden Township, Yancy Avenue south of Highway 30 is now closed due to flooding. Road closed signs have been placed at 78th St. and Yale. (Please see note above that road is now open.)
  • Friday, April 19, 8 a.m.: Highway 123 between Watertown and Mayer is closed due to flooding. During the road closure drivers can't travel north of Highway 7 on Highway 123. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as Highway 25 or Highway 21. (Please see note above that road is now open.)
  • Monday, April 15, 7 p.m.: Highway 41 between Shakopee and Chaska reopens tonight at 7 p.m. after the evening rush-hour. The road closed on March 21 due to flooding.
  • Friday, April 5, 9:15 a.m.: Highway 123 between Watertown and Mayer and north of Highway 7, is now open. 
  • Wednesday, April 3, 1:45 p.m.: In Watertown, all portions of Mill Avenue are open, from Carter Street to Ironwood. Access to the compost site is open.  
  • Monday, April 1, 5:45 p.m.: In Camden Township, Vega Avenue and 94th Street is now open between Highways 135 and 33. Also 86th Street and Vega Avenue is open between Highways 33 and 32. Also, Yancey Ave. between Highway 30 and 78th Street has reopened.
  • March 31, 11 a.m.: In Hollywood Township, 42nd Street between Highway 123 and Tacoma Ave is now open.  
  • March 30, 11 a.m.: In Watertown, Highway 27 (Lewis Avenue North) is open at Maple Street. Drivers can now travel north out of Watertown using Highway 27.
  • March 30, 10:15 a.m.: In Camden Township, Highway 30 is now open from Yale Avenue to the county line. You can now travel between New Germany and Lester Prairie using this road.
  • March 27, 4:31 p.m.: Yale Ave is now open between Highway 30 and 78th St.
  • March 26, 2:32 p.m.: In Camden Township, Yale Avenue between Highway 30 and 78th St has been closed. (Please see note above that road is now open.)
  • March 26, 9:45 a.m.: In Watertown, all portions of Mill Avenue are closed from Carter St to Ironwood due to water encroaching onto Highway 27 and Lewis Ave N. Access to the compost site is closed. Parks along the river such as Rick Johnson, Old Mill, Riverpointe, and Rapid Waters are closed.  
  • March 23, 8:52 a.m.: Highway 27 at Maple St in Watertown is now experiencing a soft closure. Emergency vehicles only are allowed through this area.
  • March 23: 8:05 a.m.: In Hollywood Township, 42nd St between Highway 123 and Tacoma is now closed. (Please see note above that road is now open.)
  • March 22, 12:19 p.m.: In Camden Township, Vega Avenue and 94th Street is closed between Highways 135 and 33. Also 86th Street and Vega Avenue is closed between Highways 33 and 32. (Please see note above that road is now open.)  
  • March 21, 4:34 p.m.: In the City of Watertown, Mill Avenue is closed from Ironwood Avenue north to the County line. 
  • March 21, 1:30 p.m.: The river crossing at Minnesota Highway 41 in Chaska will close on Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. The road would remain closed until the water subsides and safety devices are put back in place. The closest alternate river crossing is Hwy 101, which crosses over the Minnesota River between Chanhassen and Shakopee. (Please see note above that road is now open.)  
  • March 21, 11:00 a.m.: In Camden Township, Yancey Ave. between Highway 30 and 78th Street is closed. (Please see note above that road is now open.)  
  • March 20, 3:06 p.m.: Highway 123 between Watertown and Mayer is closed due to flooding. During the road closure drivers won't be able to travel north of Highway 7 on Highway 123. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as Highway 25 or Highway 21. (Please see note above that road is now open.) Also, Camden Township has closed 82nd Street and Union Ave. 
  • March 20, 11:31 a.m.: The river crossing at Minnesota Highway 41 in Chaska is projected to close on Friday, March 22 at 9 a.m. The road would remain closed until the water subsides and safety devices are put back in place. The closest alternate river crossing is Hwy 101, which crosses over the Minnesota River between Chanhassen and Shakopee. (Please see note above that crossing is closing March 21 at 7 p.m.)
  • March 20, 8:31 a.m.: The bridge at County Road 11/Jonathan Carver Parkway (Carver County)/County Road 9 (Scott County) at Minnesota River crossing has closed. During the road closure drivers won't be able to travel from Highway 50 going south on Highway 11 to Jordan. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate river crossings, such as Highway 25 by Belle Plaine. (Please see note above that road is now open.)
