Bring your lunch and the Chanhassen ACT on Alzheimer's Committee will provide a healthy fruit snack and beverage for this event. Speaker Kathy Kiefer, a clinical specialist in driver rehabilitation with Regions Hospital, will cover how family members can prepare and plan to address the driving ability of a loved one with memory loss or physical issues. The earlier you start this conversation, the better. Learn how to tactfully address driving concerns, which changes in your loved one signal a need for action, how your health care provider can play a role in the process, what a clinical driving evaluation looks like, and what the MN-DMV services require for license renewal. This presentation is best suited for caregivers, practitioners, and professionals who work with or care for someone who has dementia related impairments.
