Welcome to the web site of Carver County Parks. Carver County operates the parks of Baylor Regional Park, Lake Minnewashta Regional Park and Lake Waconia Regional Park. Each park is a natural resource based recreation area situated on the lakes of Eagle, Minnewashta and Waconia respectively. Within these parks you will find swimming beaches, picnic facilities, forests and prairies, trails, playgrounds, boat accesses, campgrounds, picnic shelters and more. Current Sledding/Skiing Conditions
- The Sledding Hill at Lake Waconia Regional Park is open. (updated 2/5/10)
- Cross-Country Ski Trails at Baylor Regional Park were groomed on 2/5/10 with track set for traditional skiing. All trails are in fair to good condition (but it was still lightly snowing).
- Cross-Country Ski Trails at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park were groomed on 2/5/10 with track set. All trails are in fair to good condition (but it was still lightly snowing).
- Cross-Country Skis are now available for rental at Baylor Regional Park and Lake Minnewashta Regional Park on Saturdays from 10-4 and Sundays from 11:30-4.
Firewood Restriction (added 6/1/09)
- February 6th - Candlelight Ski/Walk at Baylor Regional Park 6-9 p.m.
- February 20th - History of Winter Recreation at Baylor Regional Park 11 a.m. - 1p.m.
- March 6th - Public Star Gazing* at Onan Observatory 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- March 10th - 26th - Maple Syrup Tours at Baylor Regional Park (Mon - Fri 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. by appointment)
- March 20th - Maple Syrup Open House and Tours at Baylor Regional Park 10 a.m. - Noon
- March 20th - Public Star Gazing* at Onan Observatory 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
