Passports

Applications for passports as well as passport photos are processed at the Carver County License Center. 

CURRENT PROCESSING TIME:  4 - 6  weeks from date of application                                             

EXPEDITED PROCESSING TIME:  2 - 3  weeks from date of application (if expediting - need to purchase 1 express mail stamp  available at any post office for $18.30 and bring with you to our office)

Both parents need to be present when applying for a passport for children under the age of 16.

Customers must arrive at least 1 hour prior to closing and allow approximately 20 minutes per applicant excluding wait time for processing your passport.   License Center Hours

Note: You will need a separate check for each passport application payable to US DEPT OF STATE. Example: One check for Adult Passport fee ($110.00) and one check for Minor Passport fee ($80.00). Carver County execution fees can be paid with one check.  WE CANNOT ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS FOR THESE FEES.  THE PAYMENT FOR THE ACTUAL PASSPORT FEE MUST BE IN THE FORM OF PERSONAL CHECK OR MONEY ORDER -  NO CASH.  The execution fee for Carver County can be either cash or check.  

**Instant Passport Photos can now be taken at both Carver County License Centers.
