NEW - Purchase an Annual Permit Online

Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is a developing park on the shores of Lake Minnewashta. Facilities completed to date include a swimming beach, bathhouse, reservable picnic shelters, volleyball courts, creative playground, and concession stand.

Parking Permits -

All vehicles entering the park are required to purchase and properly display a daily or annual parking permit for Carver County Parks.  Permits can be purchased at the park entrance either through the gate house (summer months only) or through the honor box (year round) with cash or check.  Annual Permits can also be purchased online or by phone at 952-466-5250 using a Master, Visa or Discover Card.  

Off Leash Dog Area -

Check out the newly opened off leash dog area at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park.  This 18 acre site includes a separate area for small dogs and almost a miles worth of new trails.  For additional information about the off leash area visit, including maps visit the Off Leash Dog area web page.

Two boat accesses within the park accommodate 35 vehicles with boat trailers. Parking for vehicles with boat trailers is limited to 35. If boat trailer parking is full, no additional watercraft launching is allowed until a parking site has become available.

Trails:
Enjoy a leisurely stroll along five miles of trails that meander along the edge of Lake Minnewashta, through forested and prairie area of this 340-acre park. In the winter, separate trails are groomed for skiing and walking.

Fishing Pier:
A fishing pier is located west of the beach area at picnic area #1. In addition to facilitating anglers, the pier offers a scenic view of Lake Minnewashta.
