Archery is one of the most popular Outdoor Recreation activities today. A once dying activity, the resurgence of the primitive weapon, the bow and arrow, is largely attributed to the National Archery in the Schools (NASP) efforts. Each year across the country, hundreds of youth, adults and families learn to properly handle and shoot Archery equipment.
Carver County Parks has been very active in providing archery programming, and is watching the desire to shoot a bow and arrow increase in the communities within the County. Carver County Parks Department partners with local City Park and Recreation Departments to offer joint archery programming. Additionally, Carver County Parks Department provides archery opportunities at park events, public programming, private programming, campfire programs at Baylor Regional Park, summer day camps and Camp Blasts throughout the school year.
As popularity increases, the Parks Department continues to develop and offer new program opportunities. Stay tuned to the Parks page, or join Carver County Parks email list to receive FREE updates (see Parks Home page).
