Sometimes a little help can make all the difference in an older adult being able to remain in their home for as long as possible. Senior Services staff is available to provide free in-home assessments to identify needs and caregiver support and then provide information about programs and services available in the community. Services may include nurse visits, homemaking, home delivered meals, respite care, adult day programs, home health aides and much more. They can also provide information about housing alternatives such as assisted living and adult foster care. For those who meet the financial guidelines, programs such as Alternative Care and Elderly Waiver may be able to help with the cost of the services. We can also help with determining if a move to a nursing home is the best option for and older adult. Call (952) 442-7671 for more information about how to apply for this program.
