The Carver County Courthouse resides in the 1st Judicial District.  The courthouse frequently staffs four courtrooms simultaneously.  The primary role of court services is to ensure the safety and security of the courtrooms as well as those in attendance.  Court Services accomplishes this goal by utilizing licensed deputies who serve as bailiffs.  These bailiffs are responsible for security as well as maintaining order inside the courtroom.  Movement of people in custody is also facilitated exclusively by the bailiffs.  As a reminder, by court order, no firearms are allowed in the courts building.

In addition to the welfare of the courthouse, Court Services is responsible for the transportation of individuals to and from other institutions.  Court Services will also execute judicial orders such as writs of habeas corpus to ensure the appearance of individuals in front of the court.
